Pretty Woman Cosmetics was founded in 2013 by Fatima Zaidi — a Toronto-based makeup artist, aesthetics specialist, and beauty educator who believed that every woman deserves to feel extraordinary in her own skin.
Inspired by the magic of Julia Roberts' "Pretty Woman" moment — that transformative instant when confidence, beauty, and self-expression collide — Fatima set out to create a brand that makes all women feel that way. Regardless of age, skin tone, background, or style.
The Woman Behind the Brand
Fatima's journey began in London, England, where she trained in hair, makeup, and aesthetics — all while raising her young family. Returning to Canada, she further refined her craft at Marca College, gaining formal certification with renowned brands including Dermalogica and Solutions.
Her career took her backstage at runway shows, onto red carpets, and into television studios. Some of her career highlights include:
